Pond Pavilion
Napanoch, New York
Role: Architect
Built beside a quiet pond, this screened pavilion offers a shaded place to sit, rest, and return to the senses. Built with wood framing, cedar cladding, and a corrugated metal roof, it gives just enough shelter to stay outdoors longer. The screen windows keep the bugs out but let the breeze in.
Inside, the air feels still. You hear birds. You watch light move across the water. Trees rustle. Time slows.
This is a structure made for presence. Simple materials. Clear intention. A soft threshold between nature and shelter. A place to pause and be.
