Protozoa Pictures Headquarters
Chinatown, NYC
Role: Architect
This loft in Manhattan’s Chinatown was renovated to serve as the headquarters for a filmmaker and his production company.
The floor-through space was once a garment factory, recently abandoned. We stripped it back, restored the original wood floors, replaced the windows, and installed a new HVAC system.
The design preserves the open feel of the loft. Offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, and a pantry are consolidated along one side, leaving the rest of the space flexible and unobstructed.
It’s a quiet renovation. Simple, thoughtful, and honest. True to the building’s past, and clear in its purpose.
